Cover Letter
The letter that goes with your CV, in the same design. Your name, photo and colours come from the CV you made here, a few answers become a first draft, and you finish it in your own words.
In the print window choose “Save as PDF”, paper A4, margins “None” or “Default”, and switch on “Background graphics”.
A letter that gets read
One page, one reason
The CV says what you did. The letter says why it matters for this job.
- Start with the job, not with yourself. The first sentence names the position and why you write.
- One proof beats five adjectives. “Reliable and motivated” is what everyone writes. A number is what they remember.
- Write to a person. Find the name in the ad, on LinkedIn or with one phone call.
- Same design as the CV. Take your details from the CV Builder or the ATS CV; name, colours and photo match.
- One letter per company. Change at least the company, the “why” and the proof for each application.
- Read it aloud once. Where you stumble, the reader will too.
